Porky's new home

Our Boar outgrew his old hut. The old hut was a shanty at best. Two pallets for the walls and one for the roof, covered in old metal roofing and open on both ends as he could not turn inside. Our kuni boar would then climb over porky and lay on top of him when it was cold. This past summer, they dug out around their pathetic hut and it turned into a pool.
About a month ago, High Meadow camp gave me about forty pallets. We used some of these to frame the hut. Two pallets make the back wall creating an eight foot wall. The side walls are two pallets, but the first is 90 degrees to the back wall and the front pallet is angled at about 35 degrees to form the front door. We added 2x4 supports from the mill and anchored it to the ground with 10 in lag bolts. The roof is overlapped live-edge mill scraps. We did build up the left side of the roof about twelve inches to ensure the runoff goes away from the hut and into the stream.
