Case 11582 item description:You are looking at the Case 11582 Crimson bone colored medium Stockman knife, a limited edition knife that pays homage to the Case XX brand of knives.
Case have been impressing people since 1889 when they began selling their knives from the back of a covered wagon in little valley, New York. They have developed a number of incarnations of their company over the years. They have also a had a number of successful brands, and one in particular was their XX brand.
Each year case bring out a limited edition set of Case XX knives. This time around it is the Case XXV series of knives, a collection of eight knives that have Crimson bone for the handle and also a Bomb inlay shield.
This medium Stockman features a Clip, Sheepfoot and Spey blade. All are made using Tru-sharp surgical stainless steel. The Clip blade has the following print: “LIMITED XX EDITION – 1 OF 3000” and is also Tang stamped with the Case long tail C XX emblem close to the pivot point.
These popular knife series are well received each year by their large fan base. This knife has the Roger jigged Crimson bone handle and that is secured using Brass pins and then twin polished Nickel Silver bolsters, one at either end. There are only 3000 being made, making them collectible. If you are looking for a mint set (collection of all eight, framed) then Case are only making 250 of those, so once again, a great collectible knife set.
